Work trip Aug 1 thru Aug 3, 2018

As always we had a productive trip. Although we ran into some headaches good things got accomplished. Ray got the tractor running and we used the cart donated by Jim Matera to carry 20 blocks for the planned new shed’s base up to cabin. Wally and I worked on the grill to get it to start properly , only the 3 burners will work each has its own starter. Wally and Rick started to cut the tree that fell in creek across the driveway. Jim and I weed wacked the yard around cabin unfortunately the part ordered for tractor deck was incomplete so I did not get deck attached to tractor. We also need a tube in one rear wheel.  We carried over 3 more cabinet’s to use for storage in cabin. Everyone helped to organize and clean. Pat gave us a 10 lb turkey we cooked on grill. John joined us on Thursday he donated $30 for propane. Ray and Wally had to leave Friday morning so giving the weather Rick and I left also.

Work trip May 17 thru May 20, 2018

We had a good showing for this work trip.  Those present were, Jim Maz, Jim Matera, Ray Cibelli, John Matera, Ed Matera and his grandson, Rick Jankowicz, Fergus, and Pat This.  Maz and the young Matera  had to horse the lawn tractor Maz donated to the OTB across the creek, when Pat's wench had a tangled line.  Ray and Maz put the tractor parts together, mounted the motor etc.. the battery could not hold a charge do we could not test it out.  We also put together a new wagon we can use to drag our gear back and forth from the cabin.  Rick and Pat help drag most of the firewood Jim Matera cut up, and stacked it in the wood pile, and burned some in the stoves.  Saturday we had heavy rains so we worked inside the cabin.  We managed to finish the bedroom wood paneling, and frame out the window.  We cleaned up the honeymoon suite, and hung the mirror and the wall, so Ray can admire himself, we also dismantled the older Bar-B-Que in which someone removed the insides for some reason. We had plenty of good eats as usual Ray supplied a generous amount of sausage, and bread, big bell peppers all top shelf stuff.  Thursday night he put them on the grill they were great.  Jim Maz made a great meat sauce with macaroni.  Maz made a great Stromboli from leftover sausage and peppers.  Fergi made some good bread we had for breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Of course, we had a nice drink occasionally.

Gents,
we had a good weekend at the cabin. on Thursday Jim, John,Ed, and his Grandson were there with Pat, Rick, Ray and Myself. Rick and Pat put together a new hand cart to carry articles over bridge. Jim dragged limbs from downed trees over to fire pit and burnt them for cleanup. We also dropped my old lawn tractor (without engine) down creek entrance and then Eds grandson and I dragged it over to the cabin side where everyone helped pull it out and up to cabin. Friday Pat, Rick,Ray and myself continued cleanup and put engine back on tractor and reconnected gas choke and battery. Unfortunately the battery wouldn't hold a charge and we have one flat tire that needs replacement. I will be getting those items. We did not connect the deck for cutting I will bring it over on next trip. Saturday it rained all day so we did inside work putting up particle board in last corner of bunk room, then we dismantled the old grill to be throw out since someone took the grates from it, and it was damaged from last years bear attack. We ate, drank smoked and had an all around fun time.
Sunday we cleaned up and left.
Anyone with pics of weekend kindly send them to Pat and me Pat will update the web site which you may find amusing so check it out.

Also found an old dead cell phone on table and have no idea who's it may be.

Thanks guys for the good work
Maz

Happy New Year to Y'all Have a safe 2018

Jim Matera said creek is washing out even worse than  before.  We will have to find a fix for this problem.  Meanwhile be careful, don't attempt driving across the creek.
